APH advocates utilize safety planning measures when working with victims/survivors, their children, and significant others. This includes steps and options for increasing safety and preparing for future victimization.

On-Call Advocacy
Our skilled advocates will assist and respond to legal, medical, and various community facilities after normal business hours, weekends, and holidays. Advocates provide information and intervention services to the victim/survivor while empowering them to make their own decisions.
Emergency Sheltering
Confidential, short-term emergency residential programming for victims/survivors. Services are available to adult victims and their children, 18 years of age and under. While in our residential program, victims/survivors meet with certified advocates to develop personalized goal plans regarding their victimization, financial literacy and empowerment programming, independent housing, financial empowerment, trauma-informed advocacy and empowerment based on survivors needs.
Confidentiality Statement
Alice Paul House is committed to respecting and adhering to the privacy and integrity of all those we service and to keeping all aspects of their involvement with APH confidential to the fullest extent possible as stated in federal law. Any written/spoken information exchanged between a client and APH is confidential and not to be shared with any third party without the client's consent subject to the following two exceptions:
1. A client has the intent to harm themselves and/or another person.
2. The information shared involves suspected child abuse or neglect, i.e. someone under the age of 18 years old. In that case, as mandated reporters, APH advocates will report suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate Children and Youth Agency and/or ChildLine.
